Universal testing system
Instron 5866
Mechanical properties of polymeric materials determined in tensile, compression or flexural mode. Up to 10 kN load, testing speed up to 500 mm/min. The controlled climate in the testing room.
Zwick
Impact testing of polymeric materials, up to 40 J hammer, Charpy mode.
In house built original testing

Greep testing of polymeric materials, up to 10 kN load, temperature in the range of 10 – 60°C, and an option for testing in a liquid environment. There are six testing positions in total.
Shimadzu IRAffinity-1S
FTIR method for studying composition of polymers. Database of polymers. Transmission and ATR modes.
Ceast Junior Melt Flow
Melt flow rate of polymers at 2.16 or 5.0 kg.
Perkin Elmer DSC 4000
Differential scanning calorimetry of polymers for determining melting and crystallization temperatures, glass transition temperatures, degree of crystallinity and oxidation induction time.
Mettler Toledo Easy pH
Automatic titration, determination of degree of substitution of cellulose by hydroxyl groups.
Gamry Interface 1010 E
Cyclic voltammetry, galvanostatic cycling, and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy.
Zeiss Axioscop + hot stage
Polarized light optical microscopy with hot stage. Transmission and reflection modes.
Anton Paar Physica MCR 501
Rheological properties of molten polymers: complex viscosity, loss, and storage modulus. Plate-Plate or ConePlate geometries. Temperature range -20 – +300°C.
